Johnson Publishing Company was founded in Boulder, Colorado in 1946 by entrepreneur Ray Johnson and his wife Ada. The Johnson Printing division traces its roots to the humble beginnings in a Boulder garage. Today JP is a progressive and technically cutting edge organization of over 100 print professionals, many of whom have been with JP for the majority of their careers! While technology has changed significantly and will undoubtedly continue to do so, the basic principles Ray and Ada brought to the business are as relevant today as they were more than half a century ago. By combining the elements of great people, excellent service, integrity, and sound fiscal management, success of the organization will continue for decades to come. Today JP is under the leadership of Kevin Wright, who acquired the business in 2007.

JP is a leading commercial printer in the inter-mountain region, and provides integrated information publishing, printing, and distribution services. The organization is a top producer of magazines, guides, catalogs, directories, books, technical documentation, and product support literature. We offer composition, database publishing, state-of-the-art electronic prepress services including computer-to-plate, offset sheetfed and web printing, complete soft-cover binding, product assembly, inventory management and order fulfillment.
