JOHNSON PRINTING ADDS TO WEB OFFSET PRINTING CAPACITY

BOULDER, COLORADO -June 1999. . . . Johnson Printing has completed installation of its new four-unit Process King web offset printing press. The press is configured for high-quality, efficient production of full-sized and digest-sized books and booklets. The accompanying sheeter enables production of flat sheets for converting to covers, pamphlets, schedules, and similar products.

According to general manager Bob Graham, "The Process King is a key addition to our web, sheetfed, and digital press department, and more than doubles the capacity of its predecessor. It also addresses the needs of a changing market with its color capabilities, image quality, and good short-run economics. With our existing digital prepress, softcover binding, assembly, and order fulfillment services, Johnson Printing is now one of the most comprehensive print services organizations in the intermountain region."

Johnson Printing provides complete prepress, printing, binding, and related services to publishers, computer software and hardware firms, associations, and educational institutions primarily in Colorado, other Rocky Mountain states, and California.

Johnson Publishing Company, parent of Johnson Printing and Johnson Books, was established by Ray and Ada Johnson in Boulder in 1946 and is one of the oldest family-owned enterprises in the city.
